Take iPhone 3G out of recovery mode (2.1)
Hi, I have a 3G with 2.1 stuck in recovery mode.
In the past I would use iBrickr to switch it to normal mode but obviously this does not support the new firmwares.
Any ideas?
Cheers.

Have you tried hard-resetting it?
Sounds elementary, but my phone randomly got knocked into recovery mode the other day and I did this and it came right back on like normal.
If that doesn't work, I think you might have to restore, though.Respect your elders.

Just hold both home and the top button at the same time until it shuts off then turn it back on.

What worked for me ONCE, was getting the phone into DFU Mode, and then rebooting it.
Im not sure itll work but give it a try.
Your mostly going to have to restore if it doesnt work.

I am having the same problem. I bought an iphone with crack glass and broken LCD. Replaced both and when I connect to itunes It just stucks on recovery mode and tried to restore and it is waiting for iphone forever. Another thing is that the iphone got hot. Does anyone has the solution to all of the above? I don't know the firmware on the iphone.
