2.2 firmware upgrade problem

Hi all.I upgrated my 2G iphone from 1.4 to 2.2 firmware.I know there is no problem to unlock the 2G iphone to 2.2.(except 3G)But when i unlock it with iliberty 1st ''go for it'' button was active but didnt successful.2nd the program warned me there is update.When i wanna update it the program said that '' deleting the old version is failed''Whats going on.Help neeeded.Thank u for ur help...

2.2 firmware has yet to be unlocked or jailbroken. since u have a 2G, you can downgrade it back to 2.1 easily.

ye buddy, just restore to 2.2 and then use iliberty. then when someone tries to help you, dismiss them, because you clearly know your stuff.


restore to 2.1 using the pwnagetool or quickpwn, an updated version that WILL support the 2.2 firmware will be out soon, but not yet.

Bros.On my iphone screen there is a pic that shown a usb cable to itunes.So any tool does not work to do anything.When i connect my phone to usb then same picture is there.I wanna downgrade it from 2.2 to 2.1 but iliberty,quickpwn,pwnagetool&ziphone dont work.Whats going on buddies?Any ideas for it...

pull up itunes wait until your iphone is found by itunes hold down the shift button then go to 2.1 let itunes do it's work them pwn your phone

what's going on buddy is that, the dev team has told everyone to hold their horses and wait to update your phone if u want to be unlocked/jailbroken. you updated, and now you ain't jailbroken or unlocked. end of story. sorry.

i just figure if i make it bigger people will get the picture. dont upgrade. its a simple instruction. its annoying to see one post saying dont upgrade and the next post is "i just updated and i dont know what to do now"

I say just let them make their mistakes and go on their merry way and try to ignore the influx of stupid thread that come every few months due to it.

let me see,first i had 1.0,then there was 1.1 then 1.1.3 then for fun 1.1.4 and 2.0 and 2.1.im just suprised my phone knows which firmware its running.
