I recently purchased a 1st gen jailbroken phone from ebay. The seller said it had been jailbroken using the pwnage tool on a mac. I am using a windows computer.

I am just wondering how do I go about restoring the phone if I want to do that. A friend said that I have to be careful because I do not have the hacked firmware on my computer. Could anyone give me some more specific advice about this?

Also the seller said it had been jailbroken and unlocked? is this relevant?

You shouldnt need to restore if it is already jailbroken but if you do you will need to download the pwnage tool and create your firmware
