Problem after upgrading Installer...
I seem to have a little problem after upgrading Installer. When I first launched Installer, I got a message saying to upgrade to the latest version. I then followed the instructions and upgraded. After upgrading, I noticed that the spinning wheel on my iPhone (1st Gen with 2.1) jsut kept spinning. So I did a reset and restarted the iPhone. Now when it stars up all I get is the Apple logo and it won't start up beyond that.
Also, I can't get it into DFU mode using Pwnage as I have one of the new Macbook Pros that blocks the DFU mode. Any suggestions?
thanks,

Someone else had this problem and plugged into itunes and synced and it fixed it. Give that a shot... if not then force into RECOVERY mode and restore. Next time avoid installer.

I couldn't sync as it was not showing up in iTunes. I just left it connected to iTunes and after a donkey's age it finally kicked itself out of the "frozen" Apple start-up screen.
I do have Cydia installed as well and for the most part I am using Cydia to install apps.

If it still doesnt work false it into recovery mode by pressing and holding the home button and connecting it into the mains charger (make sure your phone is switched off). Your phone should then be reconised by itunes and restore with your pwnage firmware
