"Phone" Menu will not come up

Hey guys,

I'm having an issue with my phone tab right now. The keypad, and "phone" menu don't even come up and when it does, it won't allow me to type any numbers or contacts in. After a few seconds, the "phone" menu drops off back to the main menu. If I get a phone call, I have to restart my phone to end the call because the menu to end the call doesn't even come up. If I'm on the phone, the top bar that allows you to go onto the call doesn't go anywhere. If I tap it, nothing happens.

Is anyone else having this issue? Could it be the "cydia" update or the "installer" update that I did recently? That is when it started recently. Besides this though, all of my tabs and menu options work fine.

The only apps I've added to my phone since I unlocked it are Status Notifier, Cycorder, and Winterboard. I have a 16 gig 3g 2.1 firmware. If anyone has had a similar problem or knows how to help me, let me know. Thanks!

I had a similar issue.

I had downloaded a program named KATE. That was the culprit. Once KATE was removed the phone functions returned
