Ireceived my new iphone 3g today so pls forgive me for my ignorance on how to jailbreak it.Well my phone has 2.1 ( 5f136 ) firmware and is using a turbosim to unlock it.Now i wish to jailbreak it so i can play with it without limits. i own a macos pc as also winblows .well what is the way to jailbreak it? i read in wiki that i must use pwnage in mac and download the stock 2.1 firmware.what is the reason to do this? my phone already has this version.which is the easier and safe way to do jailbreak?

ok i connect my iphone to itunes in my mac just to see what info i get but i get a message that the simcard inserted in iphone does not appear to be supported.
how i proceed?

just continue with the jailbreak process using either quickpwn or pawnage tool
But to let you know, if you have a 3G without a sim unlock tool like nextsim or turbosim, you won't be able to unlock it...you can still jailbreak it but not unlock

Thanx for the info my friend.i have the turbo sim card so it will not be difficult to unlock it again.now i find also that if i put airplane mode on it let me sync my phone .so i can also jaolbreak it this way

is it safe to jailbreak while on airplane mode?
