Default Upgrading from 1.1.4 to 2.1

    Hi everyone
I have unlocked (t-mobile) iPhone with 1.1.4 version.
I just synced my phone and the iTunes suggested to upgrade the version to 2.1. If I do so does this mean that I can not use t-mobile again?
What do I have to do?
    Thanks

Go here: .. applei.ph |:.. - Home and register for free and go to the tutorial section. It's not hard.

[Tutorial] How To Jailbreak Fw 2.1 Using Quickpwn 1.1/Pwnage Tool Error-Free (Mac)

These are the steps on how to jailbreak both iPhone 3g and iPhone classic with original firmware 2.1 without any errors, specifically error 1600.

    Steps:

    1. Restore your device to the original firmware 2.1.
    2. Once restored, you'll see activation mode/screen.
    3. Open Quickpwn 1.1(Mac) and follow the steps it tells you, wait until it's done.
    4. You'll have now and Activated, jailbroken and unlocked iPhone.
    (Optional) :
5: If you want to use your CFW 2.1 created through Pwnage 2.1, simply connect your iPhone to iTunes and press "restore"(no need to DFU, setting to DFU mode is the culprit of error 1600) then locate the CFW 2.1. Wait 'til its done. Enjoy your jailbroken devices!

    Thanks trinigianetti
I googled yesterday and already upgraded my phone from 1.1.4 to 2.1. What a difference... I love it
But I have one problem. I had some applications like spoofapp, flicker and other before upgrading and I lost them. Is there any way to get them back?
Under cydia I found spoofapp3g but my phone is not 3g it is unlocked t-mobile. How do I solve this problem?
Besides it seems that I have problem adding sources to installer. Any suggestions?
    Thanks

I lost all my apps too. This is because the 2.xx firmware is a major software change and most of the developers for 1.1.4 have not ported their apps for this unless they are submitting it to the app store so they can make some money

Aleko what are the differences from 1.1.4 to 2.1...what makes you love it so much. Was upgrading it easy, I want to upgrade also but still doing a little research. Thanx

The Upgrade process is very easy. See my thread above.

Differences: Still assessing. The Major one is the App store. Loads of programs that are not available to you thru Cydia and Installer. So now you have more functionality.
But you can still get free apps and other funtionality though great apps found in Cydia and Installer that you can't get in App Store.

Second Major one: Mobile Me push emails. Blackberry is no longer King of the Hill.
    Great user experience so far.

    Definitely worth the upgrade.
