How to have a blazing fast jailbroken phone

Can anyone tell me if this is still doable on iPhone 3GS with 3.1.2? If so, is the procedure the same? And what settings, apps, cydia apps, etc.. are lost, if at all, when this is done?

quick question, does this also backup game save states. because i wouldbnt want to go through a RPg or puzzle game all the way again

You can get appbackup from cydia to save and restore all your app store app data.

when you say use quickpwn to jailbreak it, which jailbreak are you talkin about because quickpwn has like 3 different jailbreak choices
