    Default 2.2 Firmware Update Question

So a few weeks back I was pretty new to all this jailbreaking stuff, I'm totally familiar with it now. One question though, when the 2.2 FW update comes out, what is the process going to be? Main reason I'm asking, is I want to know if I'm going lose all the stuff I did to my phone as far as themes/apps/etc through Cydia.

Well I imagine it'll be done through the pwnage tool (or some variant of it).

And you will lose all your cydia applications, but you'll probably end up getting them back provided there are no major changes.

    What about themes?
I used QuickPwn to jailbreak the phone, if that means anything.

you will lose everything... the phone will be stock, as if you bought it with 2.2 loaded on it. Appstore apps which you bought can be synced along with music, and videos as always through itunes

Go into Cydia and get an app called AptBackup.
This puts a backup file of all your Cydia apps etc in the backup your iPhone does with iTunes.
Then after you re-jailbreak your phone you go into Cydia, re-install AptBackup, click on restore within AptBackup and it will install every Cydia package you had in one shot.

I'm not breaking your balls, but I don't know why people ask this. You are completely erasing your phone and putting new firmware on it....... of course you are going to lose it.
