upgrading to itunes 8

I have an old iphone, Tmobile. I currently have itunes 7 but i Want to upgrade to 8. I have cydia on my iphone. I'm not that good with all of this, I jailbroke my phone myself, but with the help of a guide. Can someone guide me through the upgrade to itunes 8.0 please. THANKS!

First, back up your iphone

Second, click on upgrade iphone. Since you have to have itunes 8.0.1 you will be prompted to download 8.0.1.

After that you can restore your iphone to 2.1 and run Quickpwn 2.1 or stay on your old firmware.(Someone correct me if I am wrong)

how do i back up my iphone?

In itunes on the left hand column do a right click on the name of your iphone. One of the options should be "back up".
