Jailbroken and phone feels sluggish? camera slow? settings menu slow? CLICK HERE

Figured out that my phone was acting really sluggish after the jailbreak. Here were my symptoms:

1. Camera slow to load
2. Text Messages slow to load
3. Settings Menu took forever to load
4. General laggy behavior

I turned off SSH using BossPrefs, and low and behold my phone is acting like it did after the fresh 2.1 install. I cant say this is a final solution, but I will keep you posted on what I find. Try it and see if it helps you.

for me it's night/day. Camera especially would take nearly 8-10 seconds to open. Now it's closer to 3 seconds. Text messages also would lag several seconds before opening.

I also added Tap To Unlock which added winterboard. That made the phone buggy. As hell.

Speed up a Jailbroken iPhone 3G (or any iPhone/iPod Touch)

I read this page here. The user claims a huge increase when removing Winterboard. I tried it myself, and have noticed a slight increase of speed when launching apps (SMS, Phone, etc). I hated giving up some of my custmizations from the Winterboard, but found speed to be more important. Here's the link:
