how can I wipe the data completely before selling my iPhone 2G?

Hi all,
I searched the forums but I couldnt find this topic so forgive me if this is a repeat...
I recently got an iPhone 3G and quickpwned it with 2.1 firmware and Im loving it.
But my problem is actually with my older iPhone 2G phone with 2.1 firmware (also quickpwned). I want to sell it but I'm worried about the reports Ive heard about people being able to recover older data from the iPhones. How can I make sure to properly wipe the data off my iPhone 2G so that I can sell it without being worried someone will/could tamper with it and find out any sort of data that belonged to me?
I really don't think people would try to anyway, or that even if they did they would really "find anything important" but just for my own thoughts of sleeping at night I would like to know how to get any data that might still linger even after a restore.
Anyone?
