installed 3.0 CFW and it seems to have worked like a charm for the most part. thanks so much, i am in your debt.

i'm having one issue though - if i try to open cydia i get the top/bottom bar for about 2 seconds, then it disappears and returns to my springboard.

any thoughts/advice on this? i tried restarting the phone, but that didn't help.

EDIT: nevermind, re-unlocked/jailbroke with pwnage tool and i've got cydia now. thanks.

Did you install Icy? If so, that's your problem. If not try a hard reset.

I need some help...I currently have 2.2 FW and when I try to follow these steps to upgrade to 3.0, iTunes keeps saying that phone is currently in recover mode and that I need to restore. I thought that I had bricked it, but then everything finally came back. It will not update to 3.0. What am I doing wrong??

put it on DFU mode and try to restore again..

Can i use I Tunes 9? , i tried to download I tunes 8 but I always get a message that it can only open with a newer version of Itunes?
