    Default JB/unlock to 2.1 but no Cydia/Installer

So today I was all excited for the 2.1 QuickPWN windows release..finally!
I upgraded to 2.1 thru iTunes then used QuickPwn to jailbreak and unlock it.
Now it unlocked it but Im not sure it jailbroke it, because theres no Cydia or Installer icons, I selected the option to install both when I ran QuickPwn (obviously)

oh and on a sidenote, all my appstore apps were already on there, so were my contacts even without doing a restore...hmm wierd...
    HELP!

EDIT: not all my appstore apps but only 3 of them...

EDIT: nevermind, I restored it again and backed it up, worked fine! (DIDNT WORK)

EDIT AGAIN: I restored from the backup and everything disappeared again, most of the appstore apps gone! cydia and Installer gone! whats happening?

I think I know whats wrong, but not quite sure how I should go about fixing it...
before I upgraded, I had 2.0.1 with Categories and Poof, some apps were hidden, those hidden apps wont show up on springboard, including Cydia, I didnt know that iTunes backed up jailbreak stuff... weird...what should I do?

Same thing here, I had all those icons hidden. I can tell BossPrefs is still there because I can change my battery to numerical and back again. Anyone find fixes yet? I had BossPrefs set for double tap home but doesnt work now.

If Cydia and installer are not showing up try going to Settings/General/Restrictions once there enable restrictions and enter passcode. Hit the home button. go back to Settings/General/Restrictions and disable restrictions.

I know this sounds simple, but it worked for me.

If you had categories installed previously then try this:

    1. Restore the phone, but don't sync or setup the phone yet.

    2. Jailbreak and hopefully you'll have Cydia...use it to install categories.

    3. Now you can sync your stuff back.
