all I want is my file system opened so I can change some .plist files and add cycorder...I don't want installer or cydia...im goin to add cycorder manually...also I don't want to unlock in the future so don't worry about that...I'm on a 3G iPhone with 2.0 firmware but I AM goin to update to the newest firmware before I jailbreak...what's the best method to jailbreak for my needs? Thanks for all the help!!!

pwnage tools..when building the custom fw..you dont have to choose neither cydia nor installer. If you want to see the directory of the phone...you gonna need openSSH..but without cydia..how are you gonna get openSSH onto the phone?

Actually you don't need SSH if you a windows user
I just use iphonebrowser...if you have it jailbroken all you got to do is plug it into the USB and iphonebrowser shows you everything...it's VERY VERY easy
So you think pwnage tool?
