According to TUAW, ZiPhone works on 1.1.4 (read near the bottom). So if you want the update you'll (likely) lose your apps, but you can re-jailbreak afterwards.

here is a link for the features that are said to be available with the 1.1.4 release. still remains to be confirmed i would wait though until the developers come up with a jailbreak and unlock : http://i.nconspicuo.us/2008/02/09/ip...-release-date/
-Copy & Paste
-Wi-Fi updates rather than syncing
-Flash Player for Safari browser
-Sync notes
-Purchase third party apps directly from iTunes - this would be a very nice feature because if applications were sold through iTunes, it would allow the apps to be tested and approved by Apple prior to release - more on this later.

on Engadget it says he was running a jailbroken 1.1.3 and updated w/out any problems any confirmation on that (someone actually doing it)? Do you think it would solve the problem I'm having with this error when I connect to itunes?
There is a problem with you iphone...
We're sorry, the iphone you connected may be damaged and cannot be activated for service we recommend you visit your nearest apple store for more information.

This is not a reliable source. It looks like 1.1.4 provides mostly behind the scenes bug fixes.here is a link for the features that are said to be available with the 1.1.4 release. still remains to be confirmed i would wait though until the developers come up with a jailbreak and unlock : http://i.nconspicuo.us/2008/02/09/ip...-release-date/
