Question on WinPwn 2.0.0.4 PLZ RESPOND

Ok here's the deal, I never jailbreaked my iphone before so this will be the first. When I download winpwn 2.0.0.4 do I need to upgrade my 3g iphone to firmware 2.0.1 because right now I have firmware 2.0.

Also when I jailbreak will it delete all my contacts? If so is there a way to save them all on the computer or something and then transfer it back to my phone when it's done jailbreaking.

And what is this custom firmware thing people have been talking about. Is there anything else I need to download besides winpwn 2.0.0.4 please fill me in with as much info as possible. I don't want to mess up my iphone, i just got it.

Is there like a video or tutorial that shows "newbies" how to do this process properly? lol

Then DONT UPGRADE to 2.0.1 do it with a custom firmware. Then a custom firmware is what winpwn makes. you need the file provided in the guide i linked. Its a great guide. And as always need more help, just private message me.
