You need to provide more info. What phone OG or 3G. What firmware are you at and what do you want to downgrade to? Mac or PC? Are you just jaibroken or unlocked as well?

You have to ask. You can't assume anything with people here. I was trying to help someone before and turns out they were trying to downgrade a 3G to 1.1.4 It's hopeless trying to help if they don't provide details. You also don't want to give them any advice because your advice could be based on assuming they are on a certain firmware or phone and it could do more harm then good.

If you have restored to stock 4.1, the baseband cannot be unlocked. If you are using the unofficial carrier, then you are locked out.

If your sim card cannot recognize your iphone after restoring, then your carrier is not the official carrier for that iphone.

Baseband once upgraded , it cannot be downgraded.

If you subsribe to the official carrier, then you can use your iphone.
