everything worked fine for me, but by the time i use iTune to restore..the Custom firmware doesn't works...Itunes detect some error and I can't get out of DFU mode..

I am at #13 and get the message on my phone
"Repair Needed iPhone could not make or receive call. Apple - Support ".

On iTunes I get thr message
" The iPhone "iPhone" cannot be used with iTunes because the SIM card is not installed. You must insert your SIM card into your iPhone in order to activate it.

Before this situation my was "jailbroken" and active with a phone company other than AT&T. I have a non activated AT&T SIM card that came with the phone. I tried putting it in the phone and still get the same messages.

TO GET OUT OF DFU MODE HOLD BOTH BUTTONS UNTIL PHONE REBOOTS
THEN YOU WILL BE IN RECOVERY MODE
USE ILIBERTY OR ZIPHONE (eww gross) TO REBOOT TO NORMAL MODE

A quick note regarding step 12.

12. Run KiPhone with Debug Boot and iErase options checked. (Leave the box for downgrade UNCHECKED)

I checked Downgrade and Debug Boot, i left iErase unchecked

Worked perfectly, im now using 04.02.13_g Modem Firmware on 1.1.4

I followed all the instructions and I'm back on 1.1.4!!! I did everything with my T-mobile sim card in the phone... it doesn't matter Ziphone will do the job at the end!

I am sorry but i am not a dummy, however i cannot download the 1.1.4 restore file onto a Mac.It comes up as an "unrecognized" file format. It seems to show up on a PC fine.
Am i missing something?

you do have itunes 7.5 or higher installed on the mac right?
only time the file isnt recognized is when itunes isnt installed yet.

Try downloading the file with firefox instead of safari. If you're already using firefox then i dunno what to tell ya.

anyone have any idea if having 2.0.1 makes this not work anymore?? i did 2 perfectly and my third phone will not work at allllll i bought it used.. im thinking maybe it had 2.0.1 only thing i can possibly think of.. thanxx

assuming what i have read is true, you can take the 2.0.1 1st gen down to 1.1.4 just like you can 2.0
take it to 1.1.4 then to 2.0, then custom to 2.0.1

I´m stuck in step 10. Now my iphones screen is black, itunes doesnt recognize my iphone , iindependence says "disconnected: waiting for iphone" and in iliberty theres no "other tools" so what can i do next???
