yes. I successfully downgraded 2 phones from 2.0.1 to 1.1.4.
If anyone is getting errors, try killing iTunesHelper service before beginning.

i'm in the same position as everyone: accidentally upgraded my t-mobile unlocked iphone to 2.0.2 and now am left with a brick...i followed poseiden's instructions to a T, except after i download the KiPhone program and unzip to the desktop, it doesn't open, and instead asks me what i want to open the program with, etc. the icon says it's 0 bytes, so i have no idea what's going on. if i can just bypass this and get to the actual kiphone program, i'm all good. PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!

Question:
I am reading and re-reading the instructions to make sure I do this right, and I'm a little confused. Between steps 9 and 12, it does not say to unplug the phone, but in step 13, it says to plug the phone into Itunes. Am I missing something?
Thanks in advance.
Ken

Ok, I followed steps 1-3, and now when I try to install ITUNES 7.5, it tells me that another installation is in process, and it can not continue. I have every other program on the comp shut down right now.
Any ideas?
Ok, this is really weird now. I can install and uninstall any other programs unless they are Apple programs.
Any help is greatly appreciatedLast edited by armyrec1; 08-19-2008 at 05:14 PM. Reason: Automerged Doublepost

I successfuly downgraded my phone on the first try. thank you so much.
I was on 2.0.1 and now back to 1.1.4.
I had an error in itunes about unable to communicate with iphone but I upgraded back to 2.0.1 and then downgraded back to 1.1.4 and now everything works great.
P.S. iLibrary is a sepparate program. just to answer someones question.
The apps you will need are:
1. iTunes 7.5 (I installed 7.7 to get the drivers then uninstalled it and
installed 7.5) Installed 7.7 and plugged the phone in in every mode
(normal, recovery and DFU) just to make sure they stay.
2. Ziphone (this is what its called now)
3. iLibrary
All of these are up to date, except itunes...
Please correct me if i missed something.

I'm having a few freezing issues.
I downgraded iTunes to 7.5 which was fine, my phone was/is a jailbroken & unlocked 2.0.1 which i got into DFU fine which iTunes recognized, and i started the restore to 1.1.4 but after is extracts the file it just freezes at "Preparing iPhone for restore..." for 5-10 mins the phone's screen is white but then goes black, meanwhile nothing has changed on the computer (a Mac). when i open activity monitor it says iTunes is not responding.
Problem solved - i had to restore it as version 2.0 before doing a 1.1.4 restore.Last edited by skunk; 08-25-2008 at 01:14 AM. Reason: Automerged Doublepost
