iPhone 2.0 1st gen problem??

Ok well i just bought an iphone from some guy yesterday and didn't notice till i got home it was updated to 2.0! so then this guy had the iphone deactivated and stuff and idk what to do? My major question is even if i downgrade it from 2.0 to 1.1.4 is the activation screen still gonna be there? Idk what to do cause i can probably get somebody to downgrade it but idk about the activation screen or even if i can downgrade with that on? Let me know please so i could just sell this iphone and get a 1.1.4 one even though this one is perfect Thanks to anybody that helps

Why are you trying to get past the activation screen? That is very useful info.

And downgrading will still leave you at the activation screen, cause the phone isnt activated.

You can get around that.

Yes and yes...

Follow the stickied tutorial on how to downgrade from 2.0 to 1.1.4 and then use winpwn. Take you less than 1/2 hour.

SIM or no SIM, does not matter. Pop in your tmo SIM when you pwn your phone...

Did you ever have iTunes 7.7 installed on your PC? If not, go ahead and update it then downgrade back to 7.5. This will install the updated drivers. *edit* Re-read your first post about getting the phone from the other party already updated. A this point, I assume you do not have 7.7 installed. *edit*

During this process, don't dock your iPhone. After you get iTunes 7.5 up and running, dock your iPhone and iTunes will recognize it. Follow the sticky instructions to restore, activate, JB, and unlock using winpwn.

alright well i did update my itunes to 7.7 to see what would happene with iphone and it just took to me to activation screen and stuff and so i uninstalled it and installed 7.5 and it wont recognize it and i looked for driver but cant find it. help? is it fixable? cause i think i'll just pay somebody to fix it for me. let me know if theres anything else i can do please thanks

I did the downgrade so I could unlock mine to sell.

What you do is restart your comp after 7.5 install, then connect the phone and turn off the phone. Now hook the phone up and get in to DFU recovery, iTunes will get it. Hold down sift and click restore and select the 1.1.4 firmware.

I had to do a second restore and after the WinPwn restore I need iBricker to kick it out of restore and then it booted to BootNeuter and its all good.

well i did restore and got error 1015 and trying to kick it out of iliberty but it wont kick it out of recovery mode and dont know how to use winpwn? help?
