URGENT Baseband problems.

So I thought I would be smart to upgrade to version 2.0 on my unlocked jailbroken 1.1.4 iphone. Yea real smart.
As you can guess, it ruined it. Now its nothing more than an ipod touch.
I managed (after 6 hours of googling) to get it back down to 1.1.4. BUT the baseband was left behind by 2.0. Meaning I cant receive or make calls, txts NOTHING.

So far, ive spent 24 hours with little sleep trying to fix this issue. And I surrender. Apple you have beaten me.
Heres what ive done so far:

Tried to use baseband downgrader via installer.app. Did nothing
Tried to install earlier firmware on the iphone to help with the hack, got down to 1.1.1 before it refused to go lower.
Used terminal to try to manually erase the baseband using ieraser. Fail. Even that cant erase it.
I should have baseband ICE04.04.05_G but instead I have 04.05.04_G. and nothing I do can fix it.
I have 2 options available to me, keep trying for more hours into the morning without sleep in vain. Or wait patiently in the hope that the fix will be released soon.

I am fully aware it was my old choice and fault to try and install it. But if anyone can shed any light or point me in the right direction, I would be forever greatful. I dont have much hair left.

Download bootneuter from installer and use that to flash your baseband back to 4.04. Good luck.

Tried that.
It just keeps stating "The Bootloader flash failed (Error 5)"

I am having the same problem, I tried using 1.2 baseband erase and bootneuter from installer. I even tried restoring with pwnage.
Been working on this for 4 hours with no luck.
All help would be appriciated

Yea, ive been on this now for 12 hours solid. Trying everything. Nothing I do allows me to remove the baseband.
I guess Im stuck until the fix is released.

BootNeuter Fix( please read intro after this fix first to determine if you need to do this!): "Well, after trying almost every iphone tool known to man, I think I found a fix for the "error 5". I was informed by another user (Thank you Dell!) that this error (error (5)) from bootneuter was because I had installed the iphone 2.0 firmware and tried to downgrade. When I did downgrade to the 1.1.4 firmware, the baseband did not downgrade. What I found that worked was using the ZiPhone 3.0 tool to use iErase to try and bring it back to the 3.9 Base Band. After I ran this function, I then used ZiPhone again with the option to Unlock, JailBreak & Activate. After this was done, the edge network was now working and I then used the Installer app to install the iclarified Base Band Eraser app and erased my base band. After this was complete, I then used Itunes to restore it to the out of the box 1.1.4 firmware. After this was all done, the base band was back to what it should be and the bootneuter app worked as it should."

Havn't had to do this yet so can't guarantee anything, but good luck

Just tried it. When it states "the edge network was now working" thats when I fail. I dont think Ziphone is erasing the baseband at all.

So Im in the same boat in that I upgraded my 1.1.4 to 2.0.

Im assuming if I do nothing and wait for 2.0 jailbreak to be released ill be fine.

I have a spare hand set and dont need to panick about getting my iPhone back online that urgently. I started the downgrade process and when iTunes 7.5 installed, but wouldnt start because it claimed the 7.6 DLL was newer and it didnt replace it I decided to wait. Couldnt be bothered firing up a VM and down grading.

Try this - I used Kiphone after trying since Thursday afternoon to get baseband downgraded in order to restore to 1.1.4. Good Luck!!

This is your lucky day. Ok it is COOL that you have 04.05.04_G . Yea the baseband for 1.1.4 is 04.04.05_G but works lower too. Ok you need to download LASTEST ZIPED PATCHED ( NOW INCLUDES 04.05.04_G BASEBAND TOO ) . I fixed my iphone just like that i use first two option : downgrade baseband and idebug. Now it works:X .
