Version 2 firmware for a 1.1.4 iPhone

Ok, so today my iphone feels old due to guys in the office getting the 3G one.

Is v2 firmware available yet for the old iPhone? I am running 1.1.4 that has been jailbroken, unlocked etc.

Hi Mark,
at the moment the Dev Team havent released the tools/info on unlocking the 2.0 firmware but rest assured it will be out very soon!

As an aside... you don't work in VOIP do you?

No I dont work in VOIP.

Since updating iTunes to 7.7 I get a message to say v2.0 is available for download.

Is it safe to install v2 using iTunes and then unlock accordingly or is the preferred method for already jailbroken phone another way?
