I guess I am not alone with this, so I am starting a new thread to help myself and others to find a save pathway through the upgrade jungle.

I have read so many threads on upgrading 1.1.1 to 1.1.2 now, that I am totally confused on how to adapt all these facts to my own situation. I am scared of updating, I am afraid of trying a wrong procedure and then "brickinizing" my iPhone.

Can anyone tell me which of the many available procedures to follow for upgrading my iPhone to the latest version?

Here's my situation:
US-origin iPhone, purchased anySIM unlocked (at that time was 1.0.2)

Upgraded to 1.1.1:
a) virginized using Virginizer pack (frm Elite)
b) used iNdependence to jailbrake, activate and upgrade to 1.1.1
c) unlocked using anySIM 1.1
--> iPhone works great, never had any problems.

Todays status of my darling:
Actual Firmware: 1.1.1
Actual baseband (modem firmware) version: 4.01.13_G
Actual bootloader version: 3.9_M3S2

Computer:
MacBook, OS X Leopard (10.5)
Actual iTunes version: 7.4.2 (I am scared of updating to 7.5, since iNdependence seems not to like it).

Many thanks for your help !!
