I live in the USA and just bought an iphone today. I do not have at&t. I want to use tmobile.
I guess I have version 1.1.2 However, i am not sure about that.
I am very confused because there are so many guides and so many different things i can do. I feel really lost.
I know i can do two things: jailbreak it and unlock it. I read somewhere that for the 1.1.2 version cannot be unlocked yet, is this true?
However, I would like to jailbreak it. Could someone point me to a noob guide that would work on my case? Also, if it can be unlocked, please point me to a guide for that as well.
Any help is really appreciated!!

in the forum list find my thread called "downgrade, jailbreak, and upgrade in easy detailed steps" follow that and once you are done simply install the ANYSIM app, and you should be good money. you may have to unlock your phone first a guide can be found on this site or here : http://iphoneunlocked.mostofmymac.co...tructions.html

thnx guys, but I have the latest version (1.1.2 out of the box!)
So from what iGotTheRiteTemp says I can only jailbreak it, right? (good guide by the way )
Can I activate it to use it with t-mobile as well?
@Fresh: your guide is for a 1.1.1 iphone only?? I have 1.1.2
