Hey guys, I've been watching the boards for months and haven't posted at all because I always found the answers from searching first.
This time I thought I found the answer but can't remember where now.
I have a Jailbroken 1.1.1 iPhone with afp, bsd subsystem, customize, summerboard and some other stuff. I also installed oktoprep from the installer. but before I upgrade I want to know the following:
- can I upgrade to 1.1.2 with oktoprep with everything on my phone and when it is upgraded will it be as it is now?
- CAN I even upgrade?
Basically if I can safely i will, if not...i'll stick with 1.1.1

If your phone is unlocked with 4.02.13 baseband then you can upgrade to 1.1.2, but you will lose all your applications.

I'm not unlocked, just jailbroken. So what is the point of having oktoprep installed to upgrade if i'll lose everything? I'm a bit confused about that.
Can I upgrade? if so, will I be jailbroken and still haven all my apps? Sorry, I may have been unclear in my original post

OkPrep prepares the phone to be jailbroken at 1.1.2. You can upgrade safely to 1.1.2, but you have to jailbreak it and install all your apps again.

I've been reading that lag times are decreased and performance has increased overall in 1.1.2 from that unofficial thing, that true?

I didn't have any lag time performance in 1.1.1. Now with 1.1.2, no problem neither.
Feels good to be on 1.1.2 though.

so I think I'll go and upgrade but first, do I have to do the same as I did to upgrade to 1.1.1 and uninstall everything first?

Uninstall ? No.
I didn't have to uninstall anything ever.
I used the conceited software solution here... http://conceitedsoftware.com/iphone/site/112jb.html
Read the read me file and follow the instructions.

i probably should have mentioned that i'm on a mac (I have both an intel mac and a PPC) the guide and files appear to be windows.

There's a mac version for jailbreaking in the zip folder.

Just finished everything up, and thanks for the help and support, it's always appreciated. One more question before I get my apps back. When I did update, the apps that I did have were wiped out right? not the "they are there but the system can't see them thing" right? Thanks again.

That's right. Just have to reinstall but all are still there. I'm on a mac too, G5.
