sorry bro...you can try to bring it back to Apple..and blame it on iTunes...they might even give you the 3G version as a replacement...hihihihi...wouldnt that be nice?

why not....try it..bring it back to Apple..and blame it on iTunes.
tell them you did a restore on itunes to have it updated to the latest firmware..and this is the result from it...dont tell them about the ipod mistake.

    Goodluck to you.

happens the same to me... i almost cry, cold sweat an all of that.... i pwn an iPod yesterday and today by mistake Pwn an iPhone whit the iPod firmware, i got black and nothing could do.... like redstripe said, keep trying to put it on recovery, or dfu just by instinct... whitout seeing anything... i put it into DFU cuz when i tried to pwn again whit the correct file, it said it "..was on dfu, put it on recovery.."...

...then go to iTunes, tried to custom restore but i got an error, so restore whit the normal file, Pwun again, and custom restore to unlcok and everything else...

Phew.. i even got a headache after that... biggest and dumbest mistake ever made, im was really scarred even more than when i restore and erase all of my boss´s stuff and didnt make buck up before... HOPE THIS HELPS TO YOU
