Have you noticed that 1.1.1 runs down battery quicker ?
Anyone noticed this or is it just me ?

I don't have much expirience with 1.0.2 FW since i've bought my iPhone off hands with 1.1.1 ... And by using it i think my battery dies fast. Ok after fully chrging it my batter lasts exactly for 4.5 hours when i just surf the internet, nothing else, WiFi off. And the thing is, i keep my brightness on the lower lowest. Is that a normal time for battery just using internet? I did call AppleCare and they said 4.5 hrs is normal... Just wondered how much any of you getting out of ur battery. 95% using internet.

I have the 1.0.2 firmware. The battery really doesn't last that long for me, about 4.5 hours when surfing the net or playing games. When I just use the phone for calls, I can go almost 2 days without having to charge it.
bluetooth turned off
wifi onI have screwed up enough Motorola V series phones
I guess I will give the ol' iphone a try

I was wondering the same thing after I updated to FW 1.1.1, but I think the battery life is draining faster because i'm using my phone more often due to all the great 3rd party apps that I have installed..cheers

just wondering how u guys keep ur brightness? What %? I keep mine on the lowest to make battery last longer and that's when I'm getting 4.5hrs of it.

I keep mine bright. Not max, but maybe 80%. Battery life is not as good, but heck, I don't mind charging it. I don't use the actual telephone feature all that much, since I have a Verizon phone also. I use the iPhone for email and web while out of my home/office.

I leave my brightness at auto. Let the iPhone do it all. I haven't noticed any difference. You being sure to turn off SSH when not needed?

SO do u guys think its better to let the battery dry all the way and than recharge or lets say the battery is 40% and let's say u home and have possibility to charge all the way back to 100%.. is it better to do it?

Some other battery experts (?) says its the number of cycles and not number of charges. Cycle meaning, from 0% to 100%, that's one cycle.
And if you charge at 50% to 100%, that's only half a cycle. SO if your battery is good for 300 cycles before it begin to degrades, it doesn't really matter how and when you charge your battery.
Going back to 1.1.1, somehow I think its draining the battery faster and I have some services turn off when I don't need it.

if your charging or discharging your using life off that battery so if your leting it run the battery down fully insted of just charging it your using hours off the life of that battery
