Default Is it possible or not to activate and unlock 1.1.1
    Hi guys,

I am searching through this forum but is still not clear for me:

I just bought an 1.1.1 iphone.
    I am a windows user.
Can I activate - with a non AT&T sim- and unlock in 1.1.1?
I tried a lot of stuff, I downgraded to 1.0.2, activated, installed SSH and BSD, upgraded, innstalled again SSH and BSD and activated, but ny Rogers sim card does not seem to work.

    Can anyone help ?

You CANNOT activate if you are not a AT&T customer. So it's best in your interest that you Donwngrade to v1.0.2 and when the Dev Team releases an Activation + Unlock hack... you can upgrade to v1.1.1 again.

None of the methods you're trying will ever work with a non AT&T SIM. All you're doing is allowing the phone to be written to, not use a non AT&T SIM

If you'd asked this yesterday the answer would have been No there is no free way to UNLOCK your 1.1.1 phone

    That's changed this afternoon though.

Browse the forum here or search for AnySIM 1.1 - a new version was released that will unlock your phone
    Je t'aime encore, Roguette
