[GUIDE] Downgrade v1.1.1 to v1.0.2 + Fix Seczone (Automated) & Upgrade to v1.1.1

I activated and unlocked my 1.1.1 but the phone function still doesn't work, it can't find my network provider.

I want to stay on 1.1.1 but be able to use the phone function. What do I need to do?

this freaking SAVED my iphone. it was in an endless loop of apple icon and "connect to itunes (non triangle) icon. THANKS ReVan!!!!!

now after following this guide, how do i go about trying to get 1.1.1 again? (< first attempt caused initial bricking) lol

You have to hit the enter/return key after each command and allow the command to complete before moving on to the next command.

i am getting error when using Terminal on the phone which says "Failed to initialize comm layer: (is it open by another app?)....

guys i used the anySim unlock 1.1 after downgrading to 1.02. from 1.1.1 and the unlock went fine but after a day or two everything crashed and i cant make any phone calls now or cant even use wifi.....it says Repair needed please contact Apple

my modem firmware is blankkk for now so i m not sure if this guide is for me cz all of u have 4.xx supposedly and then downgrade to 3.14

if your firmware is blank I think that you have downgraded the firmware but not the baseband.
My iphone was like yours and I have used this guide from the first point and now all works

I know this sounds stupid but i used 2 tutorials both done by Revan to unlock my iphone and fortunately it worked for me...

so First I started with tutorial that's above here and also used all the tools that on this page only. I did all steps until the PHASE 2 STEP 4 like download the PXL. After doing this steps, i went on this another tutorial by Revan himself:

and There I started from the STEP 9 for which I had to download anysim 1.1.PXL file thats on that another page. so I did the REST STEPS from this second link tutorial and I have been successful with that lol I know it sounds stupid but that has worked lol.

I did this because I was having hard time writing all this commands using mobile terminal and stuff...well just wanted to let everyone know how i unlocked it... Good Luck all...

Hi, you can try using the lockdownd file - do a search here on the board and see if you can download it, you can use iBrikr to transfer it over.

i have similar problem what i did is a execute ibrick and it detect version 1.1.1 and start the downgrade automatically have you try that

I'm at the part where I need to MobileTerminal VT100 vsvn161 from ibricker, but whenever I press install I get the screen that says iphoneinterface.exe has received an error, but the IBRICKer screen is still up, should I have waited longer, or is something else wrong?

[B]ReVan's preface: After doing allot of trial n error on my own in finding the fastest, safest and easiest method to Downgrade the firmware and get rid of anySIM/iUnlock/geobot hw mess up on the Baseband and to restore it back to it's factory (untouched) state. This guide further emphasis on using only Erica's Unlock.app (which is the best way to unlock your phone without getting it bricked after upgrading to v1.1.1 but nevertheless you can unlock v1.1.1 because your seczone and NVRAM are still corrupt.anySIM messes up the seczone, NVRAM and baseband. This guide helps you fix the baseband only, so that you can downgrade your phone from v1.1.1 and use it flawlessly. Please wait for the Dev Team to release the complete virginizer software which will help you restore the seczone & NVRAM to its factory state. This will allow you to run anySIM v1.1.1 which will unlock your phone for v1.0.2 & v1.1.1

Raven, I have some questions that will probably be best if answered in the main post.
1. By can do you mean CAN or is that mispelled and should have been CAN NOT?
2. If anybody has done this method on a virgin 1.0.2 or a virgin 1.1.1 they are able to upgrade to 1.1.1 and unlock it safely?
3. You recomend using anysim1.1.1 for att customers. Can I ask why? I am an att customer, but not as an att iphone customer. I don't want to pay for the 20.00 data plan so I unlocked it to use my sim from my old razr phone. Should people in my position be considered att customers?
4. a. People who used THIS TUTORIAL and used anysim 1.1.1 DO OR DON'T need to virginize their phone before updating to 1.1.1 considering they started with a virgin phone with fw 1.1.1?
b. People who used THIS TUTORIAL and used erica's app DO OR DON'T need to virginize their phone before updating to 1.1.1 considering they started with a vigrin phone with fw1.1.1?

I believe this will help a lot of people on updating their phones AFTER USING THIS TUTORIAL. Whether they have started with a brick/virgin iphone/unlocked iphone with anysim/iunlock

Congratulations! You've successfully unlocked your baseband by not corrupting it like anySIM 1.0.2/iUnlock does.

After more reading...isn't iUnlock the same as erica's app? Or is erica's app the improved version that can be updated to 1.1.1 without bricking? I'm guessing.

Questions:
1..I have got a new out of the box 8gb today with 1.1.1 pre-installed.

2..To unlock it, i have to first downgrade to 1.0.2 and downgrade the baseband from 4.xx to 3.xx using this guide?

3.. I have to use Erica's Unlock.app to unlock it.

4..Once i unlock it using this guide and Erica's unlock,,,

5.. Would i be able to update to firmware 1.1.1 and not ending with a bricked phone?

6. For instance if it doesnt get bricked, then i can use AnySim1.1 to unlock it and start using firmware 1.1.1 without any problems on sims other than ATT?

Question 5 &6, that is where i am stuck,, cz i am really suspicious of using AnySim1.1 cz i had already corrupted the baseband permanenlty for a 4gig phone but replaced it thankfully at an apple store by some rookie genius lol
