As my Wifi was greyed out i tried each n every step and was successful till the PHASE 3 but after restoring the firmware to 1.1.1 , my Wifi was still Greyed out and therefore i was unable to unlock it and move furthur !!
So, I am again at the starting point after upgrading my phn to 1.1.1 Though my Imei is correct but my Wifi is greyed out n Bleutooth doesn work !
Plz help if any one got any solutions ...I am without my Iphone for 20 days !!!

My modem firmware also gets updated when i update to 1.1.1. I dont know if its right or wrong !

Hello ReVan

i hit a little problem. Im currently using itunes 7.6, would this downgrade require a certain version of itunes? When i try to restore with firmware 1.0.2, Error (1) occurs before even loading the software, any suggestions on what to do? I have a OTB 1.0.2 and recently upgraded to 1.1.1. I first loaded i.unlock.no's virginizer pack and then upgraded. Now i have a greyed out wifi and bluetooth. Any help would be greatly appriciated. Thanks!

If you get Error(1) is because you forgot to DFU it first prior to restore.

this is what worked for me:

1. Using iTunes 7.6, DFU ->firmware 1.1.3, DFU -> 1.0.2, jailbreak
2. Using iTunes 7.4.3, DFU ->firmware 1.1.3, DFU -> 1.0.2, jailbreak, baseband live again -> DFU 1.1.1 -> jailbreak -> virginize - > unlock

I may have tried step 1. more than once but it finally worked

Hey buddy did this thing helped u in gtting bak the GREYED WIFI ????
and sorry to ask u but if m not wrong DFU mode means pressing the Power n home button together n then restorin the Firmware manually . right?

Yes, I have a fully functional iPhone back again. But in my case I couldn't reflash my baseband or even erase it. I have bootloader 3.9, and mine got messed up with 1.1.1 upgrade.

DFU mode is when you do the power/home button thing and the iphone gets into a blank/black screen and the pc recognizes it as a DFU device.

I think this guide is great and surely helped me back in the day, but I think its sorta outdated..., but atleast it still works

Hey Bud my wifi not wrkin after DFU to 1.0.2 frm 1.1.3 ! so i can't upgrade to 1.1.1 as i wont be able jailbreak it as wifi wont wrk !! any other soln ????

How come everytime I try to downgrade from 1.1.1 to 1.0.2, I get an error (4) in iTunes. I have tried everything, I am 100000% sure I am in DFU, but I still get that error. Can someone help me?
