I finally got this fix by continue the unlocking using Erica's unlocking method and that solve the invalid SIM problem. The phone is working now with the correct IMEI and also the EDGE. My question is can I do an upgrade from the unlocked 1.0.2 with Erica's unlock. Do I need to relock the phone before the upgrade?

DId I do something wrong or is there another step I'm missing?
I have service with att and had a simple flip phone. I bough a brand new phone w/ 1.1.1 and I followed the direction and did it with my sim out of the phone. Then when it was done I put in my sim that had been activated with my old flip phone with my phone number. The sim worked and I can recieve and dial calls.

What I am having problems with:
1) No voicemail. (visual or otherwise) When I call my original number I get a busy signal.
2) I can't seem to manage my iphone in itunes. As a device it catches it as my ipod, but where I can manage (delete songs or edit playlist in my iphone). The screen says:
Set Up Your iPhone
(then in a box)
An iPhone has been breviously synced with this computer.
[] Set up as a new iPhone
[] Restor from the backup of: (my sister's iphone name she activated w/ contract)

Is there something I did wrong as to why I can't access my iPhone? I can drag songs in itunes and put them in my iPhone, but can't manage them from itunes once they are in my phone.

I don't want to have to have a 2 year contract with the data plan as I don't need it (I can't afford it and have access to wi-fi where I need the iphone most anyways). That's why I wanted to unlock my phone and just continue using my original sim with my original phone plan.

Any help would be appreciated.

i need help with the erica unlock process ...i did everything right to my knowledge and it said turn off phone then place sim card in then a error message saying wrong sim pops up ...please help thanks

I dont know what is this. I cant get d yellow triangle on the phone.

I am trying to downgrade my phone from V1.1.1 to 1.0.2 but im unable to do it.

Its because the yeelloow triangle doesnt come anymore. I can see the USB cable and iTunes Icon on the iphone when its in recovery mode.

OK FINE...its working....

Actually, we shoould hold the sleep and home button only FOR 10 SECONDS. If you hold it slightly longer, then u will enter in another mode where you will see the iTunes icon and USB cable image on your iphone.

So make sure you hold it only for 10 seconds

when i m doin this in phase 1 with either ATT simcard that comes with the IPhone or my TMobile Sim Card, I do the first step like clikc Here to continue... But then when I keep any key then that command prompt window gets full saying Recovering, Recovering, Recovering and goes on for yearssss until I close it. why is that ?:

I redid everything now i`m back to the part where i ask why is my tmobile sim card still getting denied its still showing (Incorrect SIM) This Iphone must be used with an approved SIM please help...somebody

Thanks for this guideline! It helped me a lot! I finally got it working again.
But I have a question. Is it true it can handle only 1 simcard after activation? It works on 1 simcard. If I put in the simcard from another provider (both not AT&T, I'm from the Netherlands) in it, it doesn't work and it says I have to activate in Itunes the AT&T simcard.

What steps should I repeat if I want the other simcard to work?

Hey Raven its me again I'm attempting to unlock a 1.1.1 iPhone as we speak. But the problem I run into is when you run the ieraser command, oddly I got the problem that you listed in your trouble shooting section. You said to remove .bin and so I set my folder to "tiles" for the view and it says that secpack is just a "file" without a .bin extension so I was wondering if you had any idea on what is going on.

Update: I tried to reupload the file and ran the command again but this time it gave me the: # If you are getting this error with ieraser: "Got header: 77 0b cc - Bus error"
It is because you didn't remove the .bin extension of the secpack. You need to make sure it is removed in windows by changing your folder view options to show extensions for known file types, OR in Mac by ctrl + click and going to get info and removing the extension under Name & Extension.

For some reason it wont let me install the Unlock.app when i try to run the wINstallGUI it says something like the application failed to initialized properly. What do i do now?

In Phase 2, when i try to run IBrickr to install applications like MobileTerminal VT100 vsvn161 and when i click on browse application, the page just doesn't show up. It's just blank page. why is it like that ? I hate internet explorer...sucks big time x-(

If by any chance, the commands wat you type in terminal makes no effect, then close your terminal

Open your terminal app again
type in cd /usr/bin
and then carry on with the command that you have to type

I am saying this cause at times, the terminal app does not respond to the command we enter specially when we unload commcenter.plist and erase the baseband by running ieraser.

I think it was because the ibrickr website was down so yea now i got it working and i installed those both Terminal and BSD applications and all process happened too but i cannot find BSD application on my IPhone Springboard but I find Terminal application. Actually BSD application doesn't show up at all but it shows up in IBrickr where we put all application as FAKE IPHONE.what should i do? Also Can someone tell me when i write that cd /usr/bin command and press TAB, what actually happens? and so on for the rest commands that i have to write...What kind of process will i see going on inside IPhone? because when i write cd /usr/bin and press tab then it just adds another "/" after bin like from cd /usr/bin to cd /usr/bin/ so is that right? what is it supposed to do? then how to go to next line? its confusing and how long do i wait after writing each commands? please some1 tell...thank youu
