Default Unable to backup via iCloud
    Hello,
I have been experiencing a problem with iCloud and the automatic Backup.
It looks like my iPh6s iOS 9.02 (jailbreak = jb) appears to have stopped backing up via iCloud last Monday.

I had not jb at that time in fact I jb 2 days later (Wednesday) so I don't feel its jb related.

Now I could be wrong but that would mean my iPh6s wasn't backing up for days and I just seemed to hit the time when I jb my device.

So far I have deleted the backup that was created last Sunday because I read on a forum that it could be corrupted.
I also turned off and on the backup option, iCloud option in settings but overtime I try to Backup Now it fails.

Clearly I can't call Apple support because they will automatically tell me to update my device to 9.1 if it addresses it or not.

So I come here for any direction.

    Thank you

WiFi has to be enabled and in Settings > iCloud > Storage & Backup.
Make sure that iCloud Backup is turned on..

I am on my WIFI network.
    iCloud Backup is turned on.

It starts and shows 55 min or a number of time and then never ends it just fails with the following message is:

    Latest backup was "Never".
When I pressed "Backup Now" the progress bar starts then after about 30 - 45 min it saying my latest backup was again "Never".
It also says Last backup could not be completed.

    No other error messages.

I've google searched and came up with no answer, I'm at a loss.

    How does that work?
If I tap on the Backup now its awake until 1 min?

It seems to go almost all the way and then no further.

I see others have the same issue but I haven't found any solution

Logoff from iCloud completely and login back again. Try several times......

I have the same problem and im not jailbroken. I have a iphone 6s and was on 9.1 when first having the problem and even updated to 9.2 and still have the problem. Im pretty sure its a bug a full restore didn't even help it. Yeah ill be logged into icloud and when i try to turn on automatic backup on, it fails to turn on anymore. From doing research all i could find is other people with the same saying thats its just a bug from being on 9 firmwares

I corrected the issue on my iPhone by signing out of iCloud, then rebooting my iPhone & signing back in. I then chose 'Backup Now" which worked & now the backup is showing the correct size & date.

I thinks you WiFi has to be enabled and in Settings > iCloud > Storage & Backup

Sign out from your apple ID, it will automatically sign from your iCloud, then again sign in with your apple iD, you have to sign in again iCloud manually this time, now check if the issue resolved.

Default Unable to backup via iCloud
This is very old topic as the others that you are writing.
Btw, sign out from the App store doesn't mean automatic sign out from iCloud account.

Possibly, it's due to a poor network. You might switch to a better one and try again. Or, use iTunes instead. (iTunes can make an iCloud backup as well)
