iphone 4s sprint activate failed

HI,

I can't seem to activate my iphone 4s with the sprint sim card (it's not valid anymore since i canceled the contract) that came with it after I did a new restore.

I want to unlock it for AT&T with gevey ultra but it keeps failing: Iphone is not activated message.

Is there a way to solve this? Can I activate without the ori carrier sim?

You can hacktivate it using Redsn0w, however you would need the original SIM if you wish to activate it normally.

redsnow cannot hactivate a 4S.

yes, everything works normally(siri, wifi, etc) before and after i've done a fresh restore and jailbreak(absinthe). I've inserted an old sprint sim card(not in used), it seems to be able to pick up a few bars, but it does not show the Sprint logo like it's supposed to. And the thing is it's not activated.

if you can access the home screen, then it is "activated", if it was not activated, you wouldnt be able to get past the activation process and thus not be able to access the home screen

I may be reading this wrong but you said the sprint card is not "valid" anymore, so if its not valid and activated, you will not receive a carrier signal from it

As Evo said you are activated. Ignore the activation message that pops up.
From here you need to have a gevey ultra S cdma version. You also need to be jailbroken to install the furiousmod package from cydia that is needed for the gevey ultra S to work.
