Default iPhone isn't recognized in iTunes no matter what I do
I wasn't too sure where to post this, but I also posted this on iFans.

So my 4S is running 5.1.1 and I can't get it to appear in iTunes. It shows up in My Computer as a Camera, but it nothing in iTunes. I've tried reinstalling iTunes multiple times; I've restored to an iCloud backup; I've reinstalled the drivers; tried different USB ports. The latest thing I did was to plug it into my mom's computer (exact same model and iTunes version, the whole shebang) and it showed up there so it got me thinking that it's a problem with my computer and not my phone.

Put the iPhone in DFU mode and then iTunes will recognize it. iTunes recognize any device in DFU mode.

The iFans forum solved it, but thanks for taking interest!
