How to Fix “Device Not Eligible for Upgrade, Restore, Requested Build” Error
It doesn't specifically say 3194 error here but this is the same fix. You need to clean your hosts file so that it only points to Apple.

You cant lose your shsh. Cydia has them. You don't need tiny umbrella unless you choose the first option to clean your hosts file from the link I gave you.

127.0.0.1 localhost

That will point your hosts file to cydia. You don't want that for a normal restore. Do you have another computer you can try to restore it on?

Just try the restore on her computer. Still do the backup and everything else on yours.
I don't know what's causing the problem, I just know 3194 error means iTunes isn't able to contact Apple.

You won't get that error with pwned DFU and a stitched firmware.

I'll try again today.
But after researching a bit about error 3194 I found that this can be caused because Apple recognizes that the device is jailbroken and won't let you restore.

3194 is because the firmware you trying to go to you don't have the blobs for. Or could also be something to do with host file may have to edit them.

I'm jailbroken on 4.2.8 with shsh blobs for 5.1.1 and 6.0.1 on cydia's screen. I'm trying to restore and upgrade to 6.0.1 in iTunes before I downgrade to 5.1.1.
I'm getting the error when iTunes tries to restore my device. I checked my hosts file and it doesn't has anything but this: 127.0.0.1 localhost

Did you try it on the other computer? Have you tried putting it in DFU mode then restoring to 6.0.1?

No I haven't Simon. I'll try today as soon as I get home from work.
I haven't tried putting it in DFU mode, do you think that would help?
