Apple disabled my iPhone OS!!!
It would seem I got a letter from Apple yesterday that they were closing my Dev account for selling access to iOS 5. Fine... Whatever.
Well today, my iPhone 4 Running iOS 5 stopped working at 9:27 PM Eastern. I got a bing, looked and I had mail alerts on my lockscreen. I went to unlock it and was greeted with a background that just says iPhone and it is asking me to join a network, no cellular service on the phone now either. Well I was at the movies.. it had just ended, and there are no wireless networks. Several restarts and nothing, I can get no further.
I get home and the phone is on my network, so I continue the setup.. This is the default iOS 5 Beta 1 (I never updated further) setup screen. I complete the setup, still no service and it immediately reboots and I am back at the beginning again.
So heads up folks... If you bought an iOS activation from me or anyone else... you are about to get locked out of your phones. Apple is shutting down anyone they believe was selling them.
Now I have to find a way to get to 4.2.6 so I can JB again...

I do, but it is refusing to restore to 4.2.6 even with the tss server running.
Oh wait.. The only SHSH I have for it is 4.2.10 and 5.0's...crud.
Looks like I did update it to 5.0 beta 3 at some point... I don't remember doing that.

The thought had crossed my mind... But I would be willing to bet they have my UDID flagged.. and it would just nail someone else's account.

I can't offer anything constructive, but you have my sympathy.

It looks like I will HAVE to register it.. It will not restore to any iOS, from any computer in my home... With either the Beta itunes or the regular.
I finally got it to restore to 4.2.10, using itunes beta 4. A couple of reboots and it worked.. *shrug*Last edited by viriiguy; 08-04-2011 at 10:22 PM.

Betas expire. Since you are on Beta 1 maybe it expired. Not sure on the expire times on iOS 5.0 though right now.
iOS 5 Beta 1 Expires on August 4thLast edited by Cer0; 08-04-2011 at 10:37 PM.

I was running Beta 3 according to my shsh. Like I said, I do not remember ever updating, but I had an shsh for 5.0 b3. Plus I have the email from Apple...
Also, I am unable to install the newest iOS 5 Beta. Seems like an awfully odd coincidence.

FYI,
I have shsh for 5.0b3 and I've never upgraded past 4.1 (!).
TinyUmbrella will grab shsh blobs for ANY firmware Apple is still signing, whether you're using it or not. You might have had 5.0b1, and been disabled for the reason that everyone else running 5.0b1 just got disabled too.
Dunno. With the letter and all, this is weird.
(You probably can't install any newer ones because Apple explicitly revoked your permission to do that.)

I am up and running on 4.2.10
But I am unable to install the Beta OS's at all. *shrugs*
