Verizon throttles data speeds on iPhone.
From the looks of the carrier ipcc inside the carriers pri. Verizon has enabled the Data_TRTL_ENABLED witch means Data Throttle is enabled. So some of you that have slow speeds this could be the reason. I dont under stand why the carrier can advertise such speeds then put into place throttling.
You pay all this money to them and they control what you receive.. I dont think this is fair in anyway.

I actually think the speedtest.net app is just greatly flawed on the iphone. I see why most tech sites prefer to use the mobile hotspot feature and run speedtest.net on a laptop. The results are staggeringly different, and by different I mean in the positive way. Ping is around 90-100 ms and my downloads speeds are running running 1.2-1.6 mbps. This is higher than I got with my droid tethered to my laptop.
