Missing Icon

Before I restored my phone I had it jailbroken and was running the 5 icon dock app. I had the messages icon on the dock. Now, after I restored the phone, and without it jailbroken, the messages icon disappeared. How can I go about getting the icon back?

Are you going to JB again? I'm not positive but you might have to reinstall 5 icon dock and it will show. There may be other ways but not too sure. Maybe someone else will have another answer.

you're going to have to rejailbreak it. you said you restored the phone, that wiped the phone and everything on it.

No need to re-jailbreak. I just had this exact same problem.

Remove one of the dock icons (so that you are down to three). The missing one should re-appear.

I did this through the iTunes interface; not sure if it will be different on the device itself.

try not to restore from backup after you've restored your phone back to factory settings. this will bring back a back up of your old jailbroken phone, cause it might have backed it up when you synced it.
