Yeah definitely..But I don't think that I-phone 4 users can upgrade their phones to I-phone 5... 3d mobile

I think the i4 user cannot upgrade for 18 months. There was a lot of talk about this when the Verizon version released. Many wanted to just wait till the i5 so they didn't feel a step off and pay out of pocket.

a friend works at verizon and he said per their contract they will not be getting the iphone 5. Not sure if hes right but thats what he said.

People in corp are not even privy to that information so he may be right and may not but only higher ups would actually know since Apple likes their providers to be very tight lipped on any Apple device. Apple uses some of the smaller company names they bought out to make meetings so front desk people have no idea who they are.

Are we talking upgrade discounts only? In other words, could I pay RETAIL for the phone outright and upgrade if an iPhone 5 is released this summer and just resign my 2-year agreement? This is why I got my ViPhone 4 from Best Buy when their Buy Back program was free.

You would have to add a second line to your plan.
I'm betting ATT will get the 5 before Verizon.
The iphone 4 thing went way too smooth....... there's gonna be a hiccup coming up.
no 4.3 update for the ver. iphone 4
