Is it at all possible to add music to my iPhone 3GS (Jailbroken) without using iTunes? I find it a complete pain in the ***. Thanks in advance.

You can add music manually through SSH or a USB client and use dtunes to play it but it's not organized like an iTunes library.

Kinda like buying a Merc, then complaining you don't like the engine.

Take it back, buy something else.

    Hardly.

Most people accept that iTunes is an absolute dog on PCs while working very well on Macs.

The OPs problem has an extremely simple and effective solution in Sharepod. iTunes is far from the "engine" of the iPhone and can be easily avoided.

Itunes is slow as hell on my Windows 7 machine and its a pretty decent machine with 64 bit intel core 2 duo and 4 gigs of ram. However running OSX Leopard on the same machine with itunes is blazingly fast. Its deffinatly the way the OS works with the program.
