Gmail question

I have my gmail hooked up through IMAP so when i delete on my iphone it still stays on the server but for some reason my i log into my outlook and pull the mail off the server again some of the emailsi got on my iphone dont pull up through outlook but are on the gmail site. Can anyone help with this please!

In your outlook setting have you selected to keep a copy on the server?
