Problem with changing slider text

I have followed all procedures to do this, but it does not take. Instead I get some kind of default slider text. Tried through Core services directly into iphone via FileZilla, and also tried through Winterboard, same default result, and no custom text. Somehow I must be missing a step or labeling a file wrong. Customize also does not work on my 3G 8g Iphone. Any help or suggestions are greatly appreciated

Same here. Cant change slider text or other system texts.
Someone needs to help the SpicyChicken move so he will revise his AWSOME Customize 2.1 to a 2.2 that will work with the 3G. Winterboard is great! but I cant get to those text threads....I did install the Backwards Compatibility app from Cydia. Originally when I accessed Customize it would just return to the springboard. After BC app. Customize initialized then flashed back to springboard. What a tease that was. Read a post somewhere saying users Customize didnt work except for custom text threads....Thats all I need, wish I had his problems...
