This may sound a silly question bit i am about to buy iphone 3G & I'd like to know if iphone is capable of playing .avi or mpg videos?? my N82 has Divx Player that can play .avi perfectly...could iphone do that??

It also plays .mov...At least through Safari..I believe not through the iPod.app (video payer)

I believe that AV Player, an app you could install on 1.1.4 jailbroken (not sure about now) plays .avi files.
