iPhone not charging?

I just unlocked my phone thursday, plug it in after a day or so use for an overnight charge. I see the lightning bolt charging symbol. but when i wake up the phone isnt charged, it was at full battery for maybe 5 minutes, then dropped to half.

The only thing that happened during my iphone charge was my macbook going to sleep. Is this a problem when charging via the USB cord?

Should i just charge it in a wall outlet, as I havent tried that yet.

Also I using my ipod cable, not my iphone cable does this matter?

And can I use an ipod car charger to charge my iphone in the car?

It could have affected it...

You can try the wall outlet, just to make sure your phone is holding a charge.

You can use your ipod cable, I do.

I also use my ipod car charger to charge it and it works.

was worried for a bit there, really didnt want to drive 5 hours to get to the nearest iphone apple store
