dual sim iphone? Ghost Dual TWIN Sim Card holder
anyone out there have any experience with this
Ghost Dual TWIN Sim Card holder
you can find them on ebay...anyway, i am wondering if anyone besides the guy who put up a youtube has used one and had luck with it. it seems like it might be a good thing for all the unlocked people to have since they could just purchase an att prepaid card for 10 bucks and then when the guys go to check and see if they are on the right network, they will see the att sim and help them...any ideas?

It seems like this would take an obscene amount of programming on the part of the host phone's operating system for this to work correctly.. iPhones aren't made to use 2 networks none of the hardware (specifically the antenna), was made to use 2 networks, or programmed to use two networks.. Unless they developed some sort of antenna scheduling algorithm that would balance between the two networks, i don't think it would work..
Then again, i'm just a beginning perl, c++, and objective C developer.. I don't know much about the frameworks for GSM networks/provisioning.. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.-Eric

The iPhone can easily handle dual Sim cards.
The OS on the iPhone already supports dual sim functionality, but you need to jailbreak the phone to use it.
If you are using two AT&T sims, you don't need to unlock, just cut the sims to fit in a dual sim adapter, and jailbreak.
If you want to use another GSM network, you will, obviously, need to unlock your phone.
I just did a little digging and found a short article covering this functionality.

These dual SIM adapters have been around for years.
Every so often someone on a forum will ask if anyone has tried one.
No one ever says yes.
Some brave sole then says he/she will give it a go and will report back.
I have never seen anyone report back with either success or failure.
Not once in all the years I have been frequenting forums. He who asks a question looks foolish for 5 minutes. He who doesn't ask a question remains foolish forever.

they only use one sim at a time. it's just a quicker way of turning off the phone, swapping sims, and switching back on. that's all they do.

Yes these work with the iPhone, but as said above you can only use one sim at a time so they aren't all that great. You change which sim you want active in the iPhones settings.
Now if someone could programme it to work with both sims at the same time......
