[1.1.3][Problem] ITunes detect IPhone but doesn't sync

Apologies if this is the wrong forum...

I have a 1.1.3 16 GB phone and am using it in India. I don't know the original firmware version though. My problem is, I'm using ITunes 7.6.1 (Windows) and it does detect the IPhone. I also noticed that it links var/mobile/media/iTunes_Control to
var/root/media/iTunes_Control. When I try to sync photos or music, ITunes displays a message to show it is syncing it. But - on the IPhone, the "sync in progress" message appears for a second but then disappears and the springboard comes back on again. I also have IPhoneRingToneMaker and it has a similar issue. Shows that it copied the ring tone to IPhone but I don't see it. Has any one faced a similar issue? I'd appreciate any inputs you can provide.

This is most likey an issue with your phones drivers you can search the forums there is a thread in here explaining how to fix them. Hope this helps
