I don't even know what to search for the answer to this

Not that I haven't tried. I have.
I'm not sure what I did for this to happen or even if it might be some package that I installed that is causing it.

In 1.1.4 when I get the icons to wiggle......the application icons now have an "x" to delete the icon just like a web shortcut icon. I have no clue what I did for that to happen and believe me.....I know the iphone better than most. I suspect it might be Caterpillar but I wouldn't bet my life on it. Any thoughts???

Just the added icons. Not the stock ones that come with the phone. The "x" shows up only when put into "wiggly" mode. The "x" is in the corner of the icon and is used to delete the icon. It's only supposed to show up when you add a web shortcut icon, not for an app icon.

well, it sounds like it is Caterpillar. why do you say that you don't think it is? have you ever had it installed, played around with it, and uninstall it without uninstalling/unapplying all the options first? being able to delete 3rd party applications from your springboard is a function Caterpillar offers, so, that's probably it.

No that is an option that Cat offers.
Its not a problem but an option that they added as a feature the last release.

It is handy to tell you the truth.

You're absolutely right. I just read up on it. It is kinda cool.
