I recently bought a case for iPhone on ebay.
It is "Black Horizontal Pouch Holster For Apple iPhone/Mot Q" (see link below).
The case does have a magnet.
Though I have not notice a problem yet, I read that the magnet might damage my iPhone.
Can someone please elaborate on the subject.
Is this particular case safe for use?

I have had a magnetic case for almost two months without a problem.

when are people going to learn that magnets don;t hurt anything..
Ok people, magnets used to hurt VHS, Beta tapes, Old CRT monitors, 3.5 inch floppy disc and 5 1/4 inch disk.. because they were magno-sensitive.. they used magnets to write it.. so you placing one on it.. will not hurt.
Now HDD, yes magnets will hurt it.. but most are shielded and also, it has magnets of it;s own inside.. NO WAY your fridge magnet is going to hurt it..
Magnets NO NOT HURT solid state memory or LCDs... at all. Period.

I'm not to much of an expert, but as far as I know magnetic field can effect electromagnetic waves, which means that it can affect the signal received by iPhone.
Another this to note, is the various report over the forums about the effects of the magnets on the phone.
Now the question is wheither the magnet can cause a permanent demage or not?
