We need to source a new battery for the iPhone
The same way we found batteries for the iPod, we need to do the same for the iPhone. Most all of us are modded and can't send out phone in for the Replacement Program.
Even with my third party apps and no unlock, I'd be weary of doing it because they will upgrade the phone to 1.1.1 if they perform any service on it, this is a direct statement from apple.
My battery is only lasting a day under what I consider light use and I can tell it is going downhill. Let's find a replacement for all of us that can't send it in.
I have found this so far: http://www.igonemobile.com/product.aspx?tab=2&p=15423
Keep listing sources. There are several on ebay for $14.99 to $24.99 also.

While that second site has more parts, it's the same price. (Assuming you get a case opener tool, which you'd probably want and do get with the first one). =D

I hadn't even thought about that. Good topic.
So how involved is battery replacement on the iPhone?

Thanks for that first link, it has free shipping, the 2nd charges $7 +, ouch, thats a good enough difference for me. But if I ever need anyother parts, they have everything. You could almost build your own FrankenPod
